OUR Five SIMPLE Values

Our Team

  • Neil Gander

    Founding Director

Neil trained as a chef before completing a degree in hospitality management. Having spent time as a General Manager with Virgin Hotels, Brunning and Price and Cirrus Inns, he returned to the kitchen several years ago with Gorgeous Group and then as Culinary Director at Farmdrop, prior to founding Electric Mayonnaise.

Neil’s approach is built upon solid kitchen management, creating structured processes, business planning and financial management.

  • Ella De Beer

    Co-Founder

Ella has worked in the restaurant industry for more than 20 years. With a career starting at D&D London, she went on to hold a number of senior roles as Operations and People Director for Sourced Market and at Cirrus Inns, busily opening ten venues a year.

Subsequently, Ella was Head of People at MJMK (KOL, Lisboeta and Casa do Frango) and Chief People Officer at Ottolenghi.

  • Lucy Grant-Evans

    Head of Operations

Lucy has over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry in premium, casual and branded restaurants and bars. She started life (not literally) in operations before moving into the world of learning and development.

After a number of years on the training and openings team at Bill’s, Lucy moved to the hugely successful and respected Caravan Restaurants. Following a couple of years as head of careers at MJMK, Lucy joined us as Head of Operations.

Super-organised and with the multi-tasking ability of an octopus, Lucy wears many hats and keep multiple projects moving.

  • Tobie-Anna Durk

    L&D Manager

Tobie-Anna is a professionally trained chef whose culinary career culminated in her role of Head Chef at the critically acclaimed Kricket Brixton.

In recent years she has been on a mission to improve the mental health of the hospitality industry through Kelly’s Cause, the charity she founded in 2019.

Tobie-Anna joins Electric Mayonnaise as a Learning and Development Manager with a wealth of industry knowledge and insight.

  • John Mclean

    Partnerships Director

Following a high profile career in the City, John transitioned his skills into the further education sector. Over the last decade and half, holding positions of Head of Faculty at both Westminster Kingsway and Croydon Colleges.

As a entrepreneurial minded, senior manager within the FE sector, John has a long track record of building delivery partnerships.

With one of the thickest ‘little black books’ out there, John’s adept at spotting opportunities, bringing collaborative organisations together and making great things happen.

  • Maybe You?

We’re currently growing, and looking for another Electric Human to come and join us, as an Apprenticeship Trainer and Assessor, on our mission to make hospitality careers awesome.

If you like the sound of what we do and how we do it, drop us a message with your details and we’ll take it from there.
